Umbrella-shaped blades work with the tool's own weight to distribute and tamp in a single spin. The base settles to depth under gravity, so pressure comes from the tool, not your hand. One tool replaces both a distributor and a tamper. Set it down, spin, extract.
Highlights
Gravity-Set Tamping Depth
As you rotate, the base settles into position under its own weight. Pressure is determined by mass rather than hand strength, so consistency stops depending on how you feel that day.
Three Umbrella Blades · Distribute and Tamp Together
The blades loosen, level and compress the bed in one motion, replacing two tools. Still levels cleanly with generous doses, say 20g in an 18g basket.
Three Ways to Use It
Use it purely as a distributor and finish with your own tamper, add your own pressure as you spin, or let gravity do the whole job. Whichever suits your routine.
304 Stainless Ring · Anti-Slip Silicone Grip
A food-grade stainless ring cuts friction against the basket wall for light rotation, while the silicone band keeps your grip secure with damp or grounds-covered hands.
WHY GRAVITY MATTERS
The Hard Part Isn't Pressure — It's Repeating It
An uneven bed causes channelling: water rushes through the path of least resistance and extraction turns patchy. Cookie Spin hands both variables — pressure and level — to gravity. Depth is set by the structure, level is held by the blades. You just spin.
How to Use
Mode
Method
Distribute only
Spin lightly to level the bed, then tamp with your usual tamper
Assisted
Apply your own pressure while spinning to finish in one step
Full gravity
No pressure at all — let the weight settle and spin until the base seats
* Three to four rotations is typically enough. Actual turns vary with dose and grind size.

FAQ
Do I still need a tamper?
No. Cookie Spin handles both distribution and tamping — spin until the base seats and you're ready to extract. You can still use it for distribution only and finish with your own tamper if you prefer.
How many rotations, and can I adjust the pressure?
Three to four is usually enough — once the surface looks even and the base has seated, you're done. Pure gravity gives a consistent standard pressure; add your own force while spinning for a denser puck.
Will the 58.5mm fit a 58mm basket?
Yes, 58.5mm is the standard fit for 58mm systems. Check your portafilter basket's actual internal diameter before ordering.
Is there any difference between the colours?
Function and construction are identical — only the surface finish differs. Matte Black and Matte Silver have a soft matte texture; Mirror Stainless is polished bare metal. Note that Mirror Stainless is available in 58.5mm only.
Before You Order
Choose the size that matches your portafilter basket — the wrong size won't seat properly or will bind when rotating. Matte Black and Matte Silver come in 51mm and 58.5mm; Mirror Stainless is 58.5mm only. For daily cleaning, a dry cloth or soft brush is enough; if you rinse it, dry it thoroughly.
* Dose, grind size and basket shape all affect feel and levelling results. Dimensions are measured by hand and may vary slightly — the actual product takes precedence.
