CAFEC abaca filter papers have long been CAFEC's signature product. Thanks to smooth-flow technology, a well-balanced double-sided crepe and eco-friendly credentials, CAFEC has been popular around the world for many years. But as a pioneering #FilterPaper developer, CAFEC has always aimed higher. We have been working to develop a better filter paper with more added value and, as a company dedicated to contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, we wanted to create an even more eco-friendly filter paper.
Abaca+ filter papers are made with a new manufacturing technique, the #FineGrain method. By narrowing the distance between each crepe, we have successfully increased the paper's surface area, and its even texture creates an even flow.
❷ Abaca+ Filter Papers for Professionals
Roast-level filter papers control flow rate through differences in the paper's crepe height and density, whereas Abaca+ filter papers produce a faster flow, so professionals can easily control the flow with their own brewing skill.
Abaca+ filter papers are not only made with abaca but are also #FSC certified. What's more, lowering the crepe height reduces the overall volume of the filter paper packaging, which in turn helps cut shipping costs. Abaca+ is truly a next-generation filter paper.
❸ Fine-Grain Crepe
By widening the speed difference between the rotating rollers and the dryer drum, CAFEC has succeeded in producing an even, fine-grained crepe. This time, rather than relying on crepe height, we increased the paper's surface area by narrowing the distance between each crepe, successfully achieving a faster flow.
