An 80° cone dripper made in Korea. The V3 Tritan has a detachable base; the ceramic version has thick walls that hold heat and feels heavier in the hand.
Why UFO
Designed in Korea by Kenzie Chay and Jay Kim. The 80° cone angle (the V60 is 60°) gives a shallower coffee bed, so changing your dose is less likely to throw the brew off. Recessed airflow channels replace raised ribs, so the filter paper is less likely to seal against the wall and the brew stalls less often. Wataru Iidaka, runner-up at the 2024 WBrC in Chicago, has also used the UFO.

The V3 02 can take Type A filters, but they sit like an 01 filter in an 02 dripper, so the fit isn't as good as Type F. To brew the champion's immersion cup, add a HARIO Switch (sold separately, or choose the V3 02 Black + Green Switch set). For the ceramic version, use UFO 80° filter papers (Type A / Sibarist, etc.).

Care
- Do not put either the Tritan or ceramic version in the microwave or oven, or on an open flame or induction hob
- Hand wash with mild detergent before first use; Tritan can be soaked in coffee machine cleaning powder, then rinsed thoroughly
- Protect the ceramic version from knocks and sudden temperature changes
- The Switch shown in the photos only illustrates compatibility; it is not included unless you choose a set variant
