Nas Jaafar’s champion setup: UFO V3 + Hario Switch
Korean 80° cone. Tritan V3 has a detachable base; ceramic is thicker, heavier, and holds heat.
Why UFO
Designed in Korea by Kenzie Chay and Jay Kim. The 80° cone (V60 is 60°) makes a shallower bed, so changing dose is less likely to wreck the brew. Recessed air channels replace ribs, so paper is less likely to seal and stall. Wataru Iidaka also used a UFO for second place at WBrC 2024 in Chicago.

Type A fits a V3 02 but sits like an 01 paper in an 02 dripper. For champion-style immersion, add a Hario Switch (sold separately, or the V3 02 Black + Green Switch bundle). Ceramic takes UFO 80° papers (Type A, Sibarist, and similar).

Care
- No microwave, oven, open flame, or induction for Tritan or ceramic
- Hand wash Tritan with mild soap; soak with espresso cleaner for a deep clean, then rinse
