K-MAX vs K-PLUS: The main difference is the catch cup. The K-MAX has a one-piece magnetic catch cup, whereas the K-PLUS has a detachable, bottomless magnetic catch cup that lets the grounds drop straight through. Capacity is approx. 35 to 40 g, varying slightly with the bean and roast level.
Magnetic catch cup: It won't fall off in normal use; just avoid bracing the grinder against your body while grinding. When holding the grinder, grip it a little closer to the bean inlet. If grinding feels hard work, turn with both hands, like pedalling a bicycle; if it still feels hard, tilting the grinder to 45° makes it a little easier.
