The Kalita MI155/185 "Mino-yaki" dripper is a distinctive, finely crafted coffee brewer that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Here are its main features:
## Mino Ware, Steeped in History
Mino-yaki (Mino ware) has a 1,300-year history and comes from the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture, one of Japan's largest pottery-producing areas. MI drippers are made in the town of Dachi in Toki City, in the Tono region, and each one proudly bears the "DACHI" brand mark on its base.
## Unique Glaze
This dripper uses a kiln-change glaze that shifts in colour during firing, giving every dripper its own unique tone. The body is glazed for a smooth, soft sheen, while the base and other edges are left unglazed to show the raw, matt texture of the clay.
## Warm Texture
With its warm, earthy tones and comfortable feel in the hand, the MI is a Japanese-made dripper that's easy to love.
## Excellent Brewing Performance
As part of the Kalita Wave series, the MI dripper keeps the series' stable, repeatable brewing performance. Its distinctive flat bottom and carefully positioned holes help control water flow for full extraction of the coffee's flavour.
## Richer Flavour
Compared with the standard Kalita Wave, the MI dripper's holes are 2 mm larger, producing a richer, more aromatic cup.
