Esmeralda Special Red Label
Red Label comes from the finest plots on Esmeralda's farms, including those at Jaramillo, Canas Verde and El Velo, at 1,600 to 1,800 m. Each lot must score 90 points or more on the cupping table and is traced not just to its individual farm but right down to the plot it grew on, then put through a rigorous cupping selection, so every single lot is smaller than one bag. Each year a small number of Red Label lots are chosen for the estate's own auction, one of the highlights of the specialty coffee calendar.
