Is this an official Comandante part?
No. These are aftermarket upgrades made by TOUGH Coffee for the C40, not Comandante original parts. Fitting aftermarket parts may affect your manufacturer warranty — please consider that before ordering.
Is it hard to install?
No. The knob swaps directly for the wooden ball at the end of the crank, and the dosing cup threads onto the body as standard. No tools, no modification to the grinder.
Does it make the grinder much heavier?
Heavier than the stock wooden ball, yes — but that's the point. The mass sits at the end of the crank, so momentum carries the turn and grinding actually takes less effort. Worth weighing up if you prioritise ultralight packing.
How do I clean it?
The dosing cup can be rinsed and dried thoroughly. Wipe the knob with a dry cloth; mirror-polished surfaces scratch, so keep it away from abrasives.
