HARIO Tetsu Kasuya Double-Wall Stainless Steel Dripper 02

HARIO Double-Wall Stainless Steel Dripper (Size 02) KDD-02-HSV, supervised by World Champion Tetsu Kasuya

Proposed by World Champion Tetsu Kasuya, it extracts the coffee's oils for a mellow, smooth cup that keeps the coffee's original flavour.

Inspired by flannel filter brewing, it can be held in the hand while brewing or placed on a server.

The double-layer side walls stop fine grounds seeping through, while the newly designed mesh at the base lets the water drip through smoothly, brewing a mellow, delicious cup.
The dripper and handle separate for easy care and cleaning.

★A: Using the Dedicated Stand
1: Pour in 30 ml of hot water and let it soak for approx. 30 seconds (bloom).
※ Start your timer before pouring in the hot water.
2: Pour in another 30 ml and wait 30 seconds.
3: Pour in another 30 ml, then wait 30 seconds.
4: Then pour in 180 ml.
※ Pour into the centre as much as possible.
5: At 2 minutes, pour in another 10 ml, making 280 ml in total so far.
6: At approx. 3 minutes 30 seconds in total, remove the dripper to stop the extraction.
※ This yields approx. 220 to 240 ml per brew.

★B: Hand-Held
Brewing hand-held is probably closer to using a flannel filter.
With 20 g of coffee, you can brew approx. 220 to 240 ml in just 3 minutes 30 seconds.
Bloom slowly at the start, then pour the next 200 ml in one go; this avoids extracting bitterness.
